IOM continues to support our country in effectively managing migration

Minister of Interior Adrian Efros had a bilateral meeting with the head of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) mission in Moldova, Lars Johan Lonnback.

The officials reviewed the dynamics of strengthening the cooperation framework on migration management, as well as the current humanitarian needs in Moldova as a result of the refugee crisis in Ukraine. It should be noted that in recent years, IOM support has included advisory, logistical, financial and material support, as well as openness to diversifying areas of intervention.

“We appreciate the considerable support of the International Organization for Migration in the process of improving public policies on the integration of migrants, respect for their rights, as well as enhancing the positive effects of migration,” said Minister Efros.
