The draft on the appointment of permanent members of the Joint Commission on the demarcation of the state border between the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine was approved
Today, 20 September, the Cabinet meeting approved the draft decree of the President of the Republic of Moldova on the appointment of permanent members and experts to the Joint Commission on the demarcation of the state border between the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine on behalf of the Republic of Moldova.
The draft provides for the revision of the composition of the Joint State Border Demarcation Commission between the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine and establishes mechanisms to ensure the continuity of its work. In view of the technical nature of the demarcation works, the draft Decree nominally establishes the representatives of the beneficiary institutions and the institutions responsible for the execution of the demarcation works, namely: the General Inspectorate of Border Police, the Agency for Land Relations and Cadastre, the National Inspectorate for Technical Supervision, the Grand Staff of the National Army and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and European Integration.
The implementation of the project will allow the completion of the demarcation of the state border on the Moldovan-Ukrainian segment, both on the ground and the drafting of the final demarcation documents.
