There are 5 people involved in the Interpol case, only Centyu is under arrest
The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (AP) reports that after numerous searches on June 4 and 5, 4 out of 5 detainees were released due to the “lack of grounds for applying a preventive measure.”
On June 5, searches were conducted at another person’s home, as a result of which he was detained. On the same day, the AP sent to the investigating judge a request for preliminary arrest for 30 days against the head of the Interpol office in Moldova, Viorel Centiu, reports rupor.md
On June 6, the court granted the request, and Centu will be detained for a period of 30 days. This decision was made in the Chisinau court of the Checani sector.
The remaining four detainees were released due to “the lack of grounds for applying a preventive measure, i.e. risk of evasion and commission of other crimes.”
