MAI employees to help residents of the village of Bădiceni, Soroca district, who suffered from bad weather

During these days, IGSU employees continued repairing roofs destroyed by storms in northern Moldova.

This time, several inhabitants of the village of Bădiceni, Soroca district, received help.

One of the beneficiaries is Tatiana Bujor, 35, who, along with her four children, had her roof destroyed by the storms two weeks ago.

“Big storm…we were scared, we were sitting here in the salt pan with the children. When we heard it, it seemed like the whole attic was on fire. The eldest says: “Come on, Mom! Hurry up, get the girl and let’s go in the house,” the woman said.

Mrs Valentina Brighidin, 83, was also left with a damaged house. With tears in her eyes, the woman thanked our colleagues for their help.

“It rained for about 10-15 minutes, it didn’t rain more, but the worst was the high wind. One or two sheets of “sifer” from the salt flats brought them here. Thank goodness I was in the house and not outside. Always be in good shape, when someone calls you, help them”, said Valentina Brighidin.

,,We are glad that we can help these people and it is important to say that this is not the last house and it is not the last family. We will go to help people who are sadder and need help,” said IGSU press officer Liliana Pușcașu.

Please note that the Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to help citizens in need following the storms at the end of July 2023. Thus, MAI teams went to several households, not only to deliver the necessary materials, but also to help elderly people with their installation.

As a reminder, in order to liquidate the consequences of the storms of July 2023, MAI provided building materials worth more than 16 million lei to repair the homes of people who suffered from the storm.
