MAI in collaboration with IGSU launched a campaign to inform citizens about the importance of Moldova’s accession to the EU Civil Protection Mechanism

The Ministry of Internal Affairs in cooperation with the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations has launched a campaign to inform citizens about the importance and necessity of Moldova’s accession to the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism.

In this context, the launched campaign aims to inform the population about the benefits for our country, but also for each individual citizen with the accession of our country to the Civil Protection Mechanism of the European Union.

Thus, the first social spot was filmed in a hospital in the district of Hincesti, where medical staff talk about the support offered by European countries through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism to patients and medical institutions. At the same time, it is worth noting that in 2020, our country received vaccines, as well as protective equipment in the fight against COVID-19 infection management. Moreover, through the Civil Protection Mechanism, doctors and paramedics from the Republic of Moldova went to Romania to assist medical workers in fighting the pandemic.

As a reminder, the accession agreement was signed on 29 September 2023 in Chisinau by the Minister of Interior Affairs Adrian Efros and the European Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarčič.
