A vehicle worth 700 000 lei was seized by ARBI. What other assets were seized last week
The NAC’s Agency for the Recovery of Criminal Assets (ARBI) issued a seizure order on the basis of a delegation from the State Tax Service on a means of transport worth around 700,000 lei last week. At the same time, 2 freezing orders were issued for 4 cars and a court order was issued for 2 assets previously seized by the Agency, worth about 5 million lei in the bank fraud case.
At present, ARBI is examining 98 delegations on 69 criminal cases involving 146 subjects.
During the period in question, the Directorate-General for Operational Assurance carried out 4 forensic expert reports, of which 2 were conoscopic, one forensic and one IT expert report, with 63 reports in progress.
Prosecution officers opened one criminal case and proposed for prosecution 2 other criminal cases. At the moment, the NAC’s prosecution service is handling 380 cases.
The Legislation Directorate has received 4 draft legislative acts for expertise and has submitted 11 expert reports and 9 opinions to the authors. At the moment, work is in progress on 44 materials received from the authorities.
The Analytical Directorate has carried out 6 operational reviews and initiated 6 new ones, another 101 studies are in the pipeline. The representative of the NAC Legal Service attended 19 court hearings and the Directorate of Professional Integrity Testing issued 168 integrity records.
The Anti-Corruption Education Directorate carried out 5 information and awareness-raising activities on the risks and consequences of involvement in corruption.
The national anti-corruption hotline received 36 calls. At the same time, 1374 materials were registered in the Centre’s registry.
7 persons were placed in the Centre’s isolation unit and 9 persons arrested in NAC cases are in prisons.
