30 young people participated in an anti-corruption lesson, organized by the National Anticorruption Center

An integrity lesson was conducted by the officers of the Anticorruption Education Directorate of the NAC, during a meeting with a group of 30 young people. They found out what are the basic duties of the National Anticorruption Center and how young people can get involved in campaigns to promote integrity. That is why the NAC officers told the young people about the volunteer activity, the institution having one of the most numerous teams of anti-corruption volunteers.

Natalia Cheptea, AED officer of the NAC, spoke to the young people about the corruption perception index, about anti-corruption policies at the national and international level, the reporting mechanisms of the NAC, especially at the number 080055555 of the National Anticorruption Hotline, but also about the projects of anti-corruption education in various public sectors.

Young people showed a special interest in the volunteering activities carried out by the institution’s anti-corruption volunteers. They wanted to know what are the conditions for obtaining the quality of volunteer, what activities are carried out by volunteers and what are the advantages of the anti-corruption volunteer status.

To be mentioned that the training was organized at the request of the non-governmental voluntary organization AIESEC within the project “Act. Vote. Change” and is aimed at promoting among the young generation intolerance towards corruption, increasing the degree of civic responsibility and whistleblowing acts of corruption.

The NAC regularly organizes information sessions for different groups of pupils and students to increase the degree of responsibility and raise awareness of the corruption risks.
