National and international advice for the home affairs system

Prompt and effective alignment with the acquis communautaire and EU security standards is a clear objective set by the Ministry of Interior Affairs. To this end, a wide-ranging meeting was convened with the participation of the Minister of Interior Affairs, Adrian Efros, and international as well as national advisors.

At the beginning of the discussions, Minister Efros appreciated the contribution of the experts in “shaping and improving security policies and bringing them in line with international standards”. The activities generating the most pronounced development trends within the home affairs system were reviewed, including: managing relations with donors and mobilising financial support, implementing assistance projects, reviewing policy documents and providing strategic recommendations, advising on information and communication technologies, etc.

As a result of the discussions, a number of proposed objectives have been outlined for short and medium term achievement by the IIA in partnership with the team of international advisors.
