Development of the list of indicators included in the Action Plan for the National Programme for the Implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security for the years 2023-2027

Several representatives of the Ministry of Interior participated in the workshop “Strengthening the capacities of national institutions responsible for the implementation of the National Programme for the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on women, peace and security for the years 2023-2027” on 18-19 September.

For two days, those present had the opportunity to develop the list of indicators set out in the Action Plan for the National Programme for the Implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security for the years 2023-2027″.

In this context, working group sessions and panel discussions were held and the next steps and priorities for the list of indicators set out in the objectives of the Agenda on Women, Peace and Security were established.

The event was organised by the Geneva Centre for Governance in the Security Sector (DCAF) jointly with the Ministry of the Interior, with the support of Sweden and UN Women.

As a reminder, in March 2023, the Government of the Republic of Moldova adopted the National Programme for the Implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security for the years 2023-2027.

The main aim of the Programme is to create a number of opportunities for qualitative representation of women in the security and defence sector internally and externally, including in the conflict negotiation process, in order to ensure the security of the whole society – for both women and men.
