Strengthening the dialogue between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Office of the People’s Advocate
Strengthening dialogue and inter-institutional cooperation in the field of prevention and protection of fundamental human rights and freedoms were the main topics on the agenda of the meeting between Minister Adrian Efros and People’s Advocate Czeslaw Panico.
The discussions focused on specific areas of co-operation and joint co-operation, as well as outlining future actions.
In this case, they discussed the Ministry’s efforts to prevent and combat road accidents, which are not only related to traffic and road safety, but also to the risk of serious bodily injury, which directly affects the right to life. safety and security in road traffic. Minister Efros assured that the MAI is taking all necessary measures to ensure and respect the right of road users to travel safely on public roads.
The dialogue was also aimed at strengthening joint efforts to protect the rights of foreign citizens, especially IDPs from Ukraine. At the same time, the topic of police officers’ activities in arresting drug addicts/persons with mental disorders and the problems they face was widely discussed.
The participants demonstrated openness to future co-operation and co-operation on topics of mutual interest.
