The government approved the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Moldovan Interior Ministry and the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry.
The government today, 30 June 2023, approved a draft government decision on the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Moldovan Interior Ministry and the Interior Ministry of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The purpose of the Agreement is to strengthen relations between the States in the field of internal affairs and co-operation in the protection of human rights and freedoms.
Given the challenges posed by the situation in the region, co-operation between our country and Azerbaijan is important for strengthening security in the region, promoting peace and security.
At the same time, this agreement will contribute to preventing and combating crime, protecting the interests of the state and the population from unlawful actions.
We would like to specify that the document will replace the cooperation agreement between the Moldovan Interior Ministry and the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry, signed in Baku on 17 February 1994, which expired on 17 February 2004.
