For contractual services, Filat, according to the prosecution, paid the non-resident company a total amount of 12,847,902 lei, making periodic transfers from the accounts of companies managed by an intermediary, which were opened with funds obtained as a result of corruption offenses, to the Banca de Economii.
Prosecutors requested 7 years in prison for the former prime minister.

“It has been nine years since this case was filed in my name and five years since this case was heard in court. A lot has changed during this period. People have changed. Not only the prosecutors have changed,” said Vlad Filat.
