Recean asks for an analysis of all serious traffic accidents: The situation already looks like theater of the absurd
Prime Minister Dorin Recean expressed dissatisfaction with the judicial situation and, in particular, with cases of too lenient punishment of drivers who committed serious accidents.
The prime minister requested an analysis of serious traffic accidents over the last five years and the names of the judges who investigated these cases. The statements were made at the beginning of the government meeting, moldpres.md reported
“I see that the corrupt minority in the justice sector is still trying its hand and the situation in the Moldovan justice system is already emerging from the patterns of the theater of absurdity. We will continue to insist on this reform and purification of the system. Now the preliminary inspection will continue and the Anti-Corruption Court will start its work.
I understand the frustration, I have heard some lamentations, but I want to convey to this corrupt minority that you cannot claim independence if you don’t have legitimacy and you are beyond legitimacy. I want to give you examples that relate to specific people, where police document the same people driving drunk several times, that over a period of time, these offenders cause accidents that kill people.
I want to understand what was behind the decisions of these judges who acquitted and exonerated persistent violators. That is why I am asking Minister Adrian Efros to analyze all traffic accidents that ended in fatalities and serious situations in the last five years to see what the background of these drivers is and who are the judges who heard these cases,” Recean demanded.
Recently, there was a traffic accident in the capital that resulted in the death of a driver who was previously registered for drunk driving.
