Pre-vetting commission about Raducanu: We hope that the competent authorities will investigate the case

The Commission for Pre-vetting of Judges and Prosecutors “has taken note of the AP’s recent public statements regarding Tatiana Raducanu,” as well as her intention to resign due to this context.”

The Commission made this statement on Thursday, noting that the decision on Raducanu’s resignation letter should be made by parliament, infotag.md reports.

The Commission expressed the hope that the charges against Raducanu will be “thoroughly investigated by the competent national authorities in full compliance with the principles of a fair trial, including the presumption of innocence provided for both by the legislation of the Republic of Moldova and by international human rights standards.”

The Commission assured that despite all the vicissitudes, it will “continue its work and complete the re-evaluation procedures as soon as possible in accordance with its mandate under the law.”
