The perpetrators of the crimes will be identified based on the genetic profile

 The perpetrators of crimes will be identified more quickly based on the genetic profile. A decision in this sense was approved, today, by the Executive, at the initiative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The concept of the Information System “State Register of Genetic Data” and its Regulation involves the discovery of crimes through the management of an automated genetic database, in order to quickly identify the perpetrators based on the genetic profile.

We mention that the implementation and development of the mentioned system will be carried out from the financial means of the project “Improving the efficiency and access to justice in the Republic of Moldova”, supported by the United Nations Development Program, with the financial support of Sweden.
