ANRE about searches of an agency employee: The suspect is cooperating with the investigation
The National Energy Regulatory Agency (NERE) said it was “fully open and ready to cooperate in providing all necessary information to investigate the case and establish the truth.”
The institution’s reaction came after on Friday, May 24, employees of the National Anti-Corruption Center (NCC) conducted a search in the office of one of the agency’s employees, zdg.md reports.
“(…) This employee cooperated with law enforcement agencies and will appear at the National Anti-Corruption Center in the coming days for subsequent procedural actions,” reads a statement from ANRE representatives.
As the NAC reported earlier, the consultant of the licensing department acted in the interests of the economic agent in order to speed up the process of registering documents to obtain a license.
He allegedly influenced some members of the ANRE commission, who, in turn, were supposed to facilitate the process of obtaining a license to import and sell fuel in Moldova. As a result, the license was issued on the second day after submitting the package of documents.
