The director of CNA, Alexandr Pînzari, was presented to the staff, this morning, by the president of the Parliament, Igor Grosu. In his speech, the head of the Legislature mentioned that the phenomenon of corruption is a direct threat to national security, and the National Anticorruption Center has the mission of acting firmly and with dedication to deter corruption attempts and threats to democratic processes in the Republic of Moldova .

“In the National Security Strategy, two threats are clearly defined, one of which is corruption, which directly attacks the democratic processes in our country. The task of anti-corruption institutions is to deal with this threat with maximum responsibility, therefore it is necessary to focus all your efforts to eradicate these attempts. The legislature will give all the support to support the institutions in the fight against corruption, and more courage is expected from you”, said the speaker in his address.

The Head of the Legislature drew attention to the importance of ending the attempts to compromise the electoral process this fall by corrupting the voters. “It is crucial to act with utmost diligence in this direction, because ensuring our country’s European integration path depends on it. You have demonstrated that you are capable in recent achievements. It is important to continue this effort”, stated Igor Grosu.

For his part, the director of the CNA, Alexandr Pînzari, assured that the Center’s staff is professional and has the necessary capabilities to face the challenges and tasks set before it. “We will continue to focus on fighting corruption at all levels and we will ensure the enforcement of the law in our area of ​​competence”, the CNA director pointed out.

We specify that Alexandr Pînzari was appointed as director of the National Anticorruption Center for a five-year term, having been voted by 62 deputies.
