The Government approved the Regulation on obtaining, recording, keeping, systematizing, and using dactyloscopic data

November 1, 2023, Chisinau – The Government approved, at the initiative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Regulation on obtaining, recording, keeping, systematizing and using dactyloscopic data and the List of functions held by persons subject to mandatory dactyloscopic registration.

In this sense, the dactyloscopic registration procedures of foreigners who have requested a form of protection will be simplified, by taking digital and palm prints with the help of live scanners by the subdivisions of the General Inspectorate for Migration.

We specify that until the year 2023, the collection of fingerprint data from foreigners who apply for asylum, as well as from beneficiaries of temporary protection, will be carried out with the use of a fingerprint pen, the fingerprint files being drawn up manually and sent to be included in the automated information system “Registry dactyloscopic state”.
