The MAI delegation participates in the Meeting of the International Association of Chiefs of Police in the USA

The representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova are participating, between October 14-17, at the Meeting of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, held in the city of San Diego, USA. 


For four days, MAI employees will strengthen their professional capabilities by learning new law enforcement techniques. 


During the visit, the MAI delegation met with the Secretary of the State Department for Public Safety from North Carolina, Eddie Buffaloe, and discussed topics regarding bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the USA in the field of security and training of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.


Participants were briefed on the work and priorities of the US Department of Homeland Security, issues and challenges facing law enforcement, and the importance of federal, state, local and global partners. 


The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) annual conference and expo is the largest law enforcement event of the year, with more than 16,000 public safety professionals in attendance. The three principles of the conference are professional training, networking and exhibit hall education. 


The meeting provides an opportunity for attendees to network with more than 33,000 criminal justice professionals from more than 170 countries around the world, providing the opportunity to both gain and share information.
