Summary of the week: Goods worth more than 12 million lei were seized by the ARBI of CNA
Residential buildings, building land, a bank account and a car, worth a total of more than 12 million lei, were seized by the NAC’s Criminal Asset Recovery Agency (ARBI) last week. They were seized on the basis of delegations received from the State Tax Service (SFS) and the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (PA). Currently, the Agency is executing 99 delegations on 70 criminal cases involving 150 subjects with procedural status.
The NAC subdivisions also reported for the past week the completion of 7 forensic expertise, the execution of 2 operational analyses and the initiation of 6 others, with 105 analytical studies in progress. The Directorate General for Criminal Prosecutions sent two criminal cases to prosecutors with a proposal for referral for prosecution, and two other cases were started last week. At the moment, 358 criminal cases are under the management of the NAC’s DGUP.
In the NAC registry 1463 materials were registered, 98 integrity records were issued, 3 anti-corruption trainings were organised and 34 phone calls were received on the national anti-corruption line.
There are 12 persons in prisons arrested in cases managed by the Centre.
