Mocanu: My son will file a criminal complaint against the head of the State Police

Politician Sergiu Mocanu announces that his son Roman Mocanu will file a criminal complaint against the head of the General Inspectorate of Police, Viorel Cernautanu, whom he accuses of abuse of power.

The application will be submitted to the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, reports ipn.md

Sergiu Mocanu said at a press conference that his son, accused of illegally parking a car, was verbally attacked by the head of the State Police, who said that “from now on he will have problems.” The politician added that Roman Mocanu was stopped while moving by three police teams, who took him to the Police Inspectorate and kept him there for three hours.

Sergiu Mocanu says that on April 29, after lunch, his son parked his car on the street. Vasile Alexandri, near the Ministry of the Interior, on a one-way street. The car was parked at a distance of 15 meters from the intersection, according to all the rules. According to Sergiu Mocanu, there is a court decision from one citizen who won a similar case in court after he parked his car there.

Sergiu Mocanu claims that when he learned that his son was in the police, he advised him, as a father, to fulfill all the requirements, fearing detention. He was shocked by what happened to him.

Sergiu Mocanu claims that he always intervened when citizens, not just his son, were treated unfairly. For example, in 2013, he managed to save citizen Gheorghe Munteanu from a criminal case and imprisonment, who had a conflict with the prosecutor Garaba while driving. In the same year, a month later, he intervened in the case of other citizens who were beaten by a criminal group led by prosecutor Koptilets. The politician says that all these actions occurred during the captured state. What is happening today is much more serious, because then, at least, the press in the Republic of Moldova was on the side of the citizens, but now it defends the image of the head of the State Inspectorate.

“Roman Mocanu’s car was parked correctly. The only one who parked illegally in this country is Viorel Cernautanu, who parked his wife in the Presidency, parked his interest in the real estate business, in Truseni, where there is a company that tows cars in the city. And, of course, his interest goes hand in hand with the interest of Recean, who covers him in all lawlessness,” Sergiu Mocanu said at a press conference.
