NAC employees conducted searches at the director of the Balti Psychiatric Hospital

The measures are being carried out against the acting director of the Balti Psychiatric Hospital, the legal consultant of the institution and the representative of the legal entity in the criminal case of embezzlement of the institution’s budgetary funds.

“According to the facts investigated, during 2023, the acting director of the medical institution unreasonably increased some expenses in order to use the difference to produce several pieces of furniture that were installed in his house. In Chisinau, in the house of one of the suspects, several pieces of furniture were found, manufactured by the same company that allegedly produced and installed furniture in the main office of the Balti Psychiatric Hospital. As a result of these actions, about 100 thousand lei were appropriated from the institution’s budget,” the statement says, writes noi.md

All persons concerned will be detained and will be heard to determine all the circumstances.
