Smuggling of cosmetics and nutritional supplements was confiscated at the Palanca checkpoint

Border guards stopped a 69-year-old woman who was trying to illegally smuggle a commercial batch of cosmetics and nutritional supplements into Moldova.

According to law enforcement officials, during the inspection of a Mercedes car that was traveling from Ukraine, Border Police officers had suspicions about the contents of the car, so it was thoroughly checked, reports rupor.md However, during a check of the personal belongings of the driver and the 69-year-old passenger, a large amount of cosmetics and dietary supplements were found in the woman’s luggage.

The undeclared goods were seized and subject to confiscation, and the woman faces a fine.
