NAC and anti-corruption prosecutors raided a case of unlawful dispossession of state land, later sold for 2 million euros

Officers of the National Anti-Corruption Centre and Anti-Corruption Prosecutors carried out searches at several addresses in a case of fraud and theft of documents in a civil case – fraudulent actions that led to the fictitious acquisition of ownership of a state-owned land located in mun. Chisinau.

According to the materials of the case, a group of persons, who held various positions in a children’s foundation in the Republic of Moldova, as well as in the judicial system, allegedly made changes in some civil files and records of files, in order to organize the dispossession of the Republican Centre for Children and Youth ARTICO of a plot of land with an area of 0.543 ha near the park “Dendrariu” in mun. Chisinau, which they subsequently sold to an economic agent at a price of around 2 000 000 euros.

Thus, the criminal case is investigating the actions of 4 persons, participants in the aspect of fraud in particularly large proportions, but also in the aspect of theft of documents from the court. For the purpose of gathering evidence, 9 searches were carried out and several electronic data storage devices were seized.

The persons against whom the prosecution was conducted will be investigated in custody.
