In the Odessa region, 11 men were detained who were trying to get to Moldova
Ukrainian border guards said that on the outskirts of the village of Starokazache in the Odessa region they detained 11 men who intended to illegally enter Moldova.
The State Border Guard Service says that these were residents of the Kharkov, Poltava, Odessa and Cherkasy regions. In a closed Telegram channel, they were allegedly promised to organize unhindered travel abroad. The cost of such a service for one person ranged from 3 to 15 thousand dollars, reports hromadske.ua
Having received the appropriate instructions, the men arrived at the border settlement, where a 30-year-old minibus driver was waiting for them.
However, a local resident told the border guards about this, and they detained a group of men as soon as they reached the agreed meeting point near the border.
In relation to the detainees, reports of an administrative offense were drawn up under Part 2 of Art. 204-1 KUoAP. This will result in a fine of 8,500 to 13,600 hryvnia or administrative arrest for up to 15 days.
But in the actions of the driver, border guards see signs of a crime under Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This may result in imprisonment.
