The National Integrity Authority identified Oleg Rusnac, deputy head of the General Inspectorate of the Carabinieri of the Center sector, as having unsubstantiated assets worth more than 971 thousand lei.

The integrity inspector established the presence of a significant discrepancy in income between August 1, 2016 and May 26, 2023, totaling 971,330 lei, reports rupor.md

“The subject of the audit was unable to provide evidence of the availability of financial resources, which are defined as the difference between income and expenses,” the Authority said in a press release.

It is reported that after the final decision is made, employment relations with Rusnak will be terminated, and he himself will be prohibited from holding public office for a period of three years.
