The officers of DGT North of CNA detained a resident of the city of Fălești for actively corrupting a police officer. The suspect offered 10,000 lei to cover up a case

A man from Fălești was detained for 72 hours in an active corruption case, being denounced by an employee of the Northern Investigations Directorate of the National Investigation Inspectorate (IGP). According to the complaint, the suspect would have offered the policeman 10,000 lei to get him to stop investigating him on a case based on the illegal circulation of drugs.

In this case, a criminal investigation was initiated for active corruption, and the person was documented by the CNA, the fact of sending and receiving the money being found in flagrante delicto. The case was jointly investigated with the National Investigation Inspectorate of the General Police Inspectorate, under the leadership of the Balti Municipal Prosecutor’s Office.

Currently, the suspect is in solitary confinement and is under criminal investigation based on art. 325 Criminal Code – active corruption.
