Assets worth 30 million lei, made unavailable by the Agency for the Recovery of Criminal Assets of the CNA, last week

The Agency for the Recovery of Criminal Assets (ARBI) of the CNA seized assets worth over 30 million lei, last week, based on the delegations of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the CNA and the Chisinau Municipal Prosecutor’s Office Ciocana. Among them are 23 bank accounts, 4 residential rooms, a means of transport, an agricultural land and shares, made available in a case of money laundering, fraud and embezzlement of wealth. At the same time, 272 thousand lei were taken over by the Agency. At the moment, ARBI has 89 delegations under examination, on 61 criminal cases, regarding 128 subjects.

Also, the General Directorate of Operative Insurance carried out 8 judicial expertises, of which 5 forensic and 3 IT, with another 48 expertises in the process. The criminal investigation officers proposed 2 criminal cases for prosecution and started a criminal case. At the moment, the criminal prosecution body of the CNA manages 410 files.

The legislation department received 37 draft normative acts for expertise and delivered 9 expert reports and 7 opinions to the authors. At the moment, we are working on 47 materials, received from the authorities.

The analytical department carried out 5 operational analyzes and initiated 2, another 100 studies are in the process, and the professional integrity testing department issued 127 integrity records.

The anti-corruption education department carried out 5 information and awareness activities regarding the risks and consequences of involvement in acts of corruption.

The national anti-corruption line received 30 calls. At the same time, 1497 materials were registered in the Center’s chancellery.

There are 10 people in the penitentiary, arrested in the CNA files and one person was placed in the Center’s isolator.
